When designing an advertisement, it is crucial to catch the consumer's attention. A travel company must convey the excitement and wonder of traveling. I used a image of the Taj Mahal as the background because it is beautiful, exotic and eye-catching. The palace is a great architectural symbol of culture because every culture is unique. To enhance the image, I decided to mesh other cultural symbols together. The geisha represent the worldliness of mankind. The double decker bus is a symbol for travel. The Eiffel tower offers architectural contrast to the Taj Mahal. I used an overlay technique to blend the images, so they appear transparent. These symbols combine cultures from all over the world, creating an appealing visual for potential travelers.
